THIS is the moment the first group of accused members of the horror Tren de Aragua gang, who were banished by Donald Trump, were taken to El Salvadors mega-jail.
The US President shared and praised videos showing the handcuffed and shackled men being shoved into the notorious prison by heavily armed cops.
238 supposed members of the Venezuelan criminal group were deported, according to El Salvador‘s President Nayib Bukele.
“Today, the first 238 members of the Venezuelan criminal organisation, Tren de Aragua, arrived in our country,” Bukele wrote on X on Sunday.
Dramatic videos posted by Bukele showed these accused criminals’ cold welcome when they touched down in El Salvador.
They were immediately handed over to the country’s 40,000 capacity maximum security Terrorism Confinement Center.
Trump reposted Bukele’s dramatic video and slammed “crooked” Joe Biden for allegedly allowing members of the Tren de Aragua into the US, in a blazing Truth Social post.
The US President wrote: “These are the monsters sent into our Country by Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats. How dare they!
“Thank you to El Salvador and, in particular, President Bukele, for your understanding of this horrible situation, which was allowed to happen to the United States because of incompetent Democrat leadership.
“We will not forget!”
Trump also deported 23 members of the Salvadoran MS-13 gang.
These mass deportations came just hours after a US District Judge temporarily blocked the administration from invoking the 1798 Alien Enemies Act.
This 18th century piece of legislation would kick the alleged gangsters out without a court hearing.
The White House decided the Judge’s ruling did not apply to these flights as it came into effect when the aircrafts were on their way to El Salvador.
Trump’s team decided the planes were “outside of US airspace” so they did not have to be turned back, according to Axios.
This comes a month after the US accepted Bukele’s extraordinary offer to accept some of America’s most dangerous criminals in it’s own mega-jails.
The agreement meant that US deportees of any nationality could be locked up and forced to serve their time in the Central American nation.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio gloated that it was the most “unprecedented, extraordinary, migratory agreement anywhere in the world” following tense talks with Bukele.
He added that the Salvadoran president even “offered to do the same” for some of America’s most dangerous criminals currently locked up in the US – despite being citizens or legal residents.
Bukele confirmed the offer in a post on X, explaining that his country would only accept convicted criminals and would charge the US a “relatively low” fee.
El Salvador’s President agreed to take back alleged members of the MS-13 gang and the Tren de Aragua gang during the meeting in Februaary.
What are the Tren de Aragua?
THE Tren de Aragua is a transnational criminal organisation and U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization from Venezuela.
This group is believed to have over 5,000 members and has been labeled a “high-threat”group by Homeland Security officials.
Tren de Aragua originally started as a prison gang but turned into a “transnational criminal organisation” by Hector Guerrero Flores, according to the US state department.
The gang was expanded far past prison walls by seizing gold mines and smuggling drugs across international borders.
This group is believed to make millions of dollars in profit from its illegal businesses each year.
Flores has been on the run since 2023, after Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro stormed the Tocorón Prison he was held in to take back control of the jail.
The prison had been overrun by the criminals and had a nightclub, a zoo, and a betting shop within its walls.
Flores escaped during the raid and has been in hiding since.
