JESS Hilarious has doubled down on feuding with her Breakfast Club co-hosts as she confronted them over her issues with the radio show.
Jess opened up on-air on Wednesday morning about how she felt blindsided by the show’s changes while she was gone on maternity leave – including the reaction to her replacement, Loren LoRosa.
The comedian came on the show ready for a confrontation after she took to Instagram Live on Tuesday night to lash out at her co-hosts Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy for not defending her against online scrutiny.
Jess shared that the comments that bothered her were about listeners preferring LoRosa, who Jess picked to fill in for her while she was absent from the show.
Listeners loved LoRosa’s approach to the show – and the pop culture expert remained on the show as a fourth co-host even after Jess returned to her spot.
“When I came back, it was weird,” Jess confessed on Wednesday’s episode.
“We had a whole plan…how I pick her to fill in for me, right?” Jess said.
“I come back, she ain’t never leave.”
Her co-hosts reassured her they valued her comedic voice on the show and advised her to ignore naysayers on the internet.
However, it didn’t stop Jess from sharing her concerns about the relationships she has with her co-hosts.
Jess admitted that she wasn’t “too fond of” LoRosa when she first joined the show because the newcomer “overtalked” after Jess was seen shushing LoRosa several times on the radio show.
However, Jess also revealed during her Instagram Live rant that she told LoRosa to “shut up” to play up their dynamic.
She said that she was hired on the show to be a comedian – but that it suddenly “wasn’t good enough” anymore after LoRosa started sharing a more newsy approach.
LoRosa previously worked as a senior news reporter at TMZ.
Jess also slammed her co-hosts for making her look like the “villain” to fans and allowing them to pile on her while praising LoRosa.
Charlamagne told Jess to stop caring about what other people think.
“Don’t let them trick you out of your position,” he said.
