Tesla vandalism is 'nothing short of domestic terrorism': AG Bondi

() U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday condemned recent arson attacks and vandalism on Tesla property, adding the Department of Justice has already charged several perpetrators.

“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla property is nothing short of domestic terrorism,” Bondi said in a statement. “We will continue investigations that impose severe consequences on those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes.”

While no injuries have been reported, Tesla showrooms, vehicle lots, charging stations and privately owned cars have been targeted.

Tesla attacks escalate nationwide

A 26-year-old woman appeared in court Wednesday after allegedly vandalizing a newly constructed Tesla service center in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, on March 14.

Erin L. White, 27, was taken into custody and charged with felony criminal damage to property and criminal trespass.

She was released on her own recognizance, and a Cook County judge ordered her to stay away from Tesla properties.

In Las Vegas, several Teslas at a dealership were targeted. Witnesses reported seeing someone dressed in black setting the electric vehicles on fire, and when police arrived, the word “resist” was spray-painted on the building.

Mass protests on the West Coast outside Tesla dealerships have turned violent, with peaceful demonstrations accompanied by acts of vandalism. One dealership had to remove spray-painted swastikas and profanity from its vehicles.

In Portland, police said someone fired seven bullets into three Teslas at a dealership, while a nearby dealership was targeted by a hooded figure who threw Molotov cocktails at the EVs.

Musk: ‘They basically wanna kill me because I’m stopping their fraud’

Activists have staged so-called Tesla Takedown protests to voice displeasure over Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency role in cutting the federal workforce and canceling contracts related to humanitarian programs since President Donald Trump took office January 20.

Musk attempted to validate his efforts and said his life was in danger over his involvement in the Trump administration.

“They basically want to kill me because I’m stopping their fraud,” he told Fox News’s Sean Hannity. “And they want to hurt Tesla because we’re stopping this terrible waste and corruption in the government. And, well, I guess they’re bad people. Bad people do bad things.”
