Nick Cannon is keeping the door open for baby number 13, revealing that he’s not ruling it out despite already having a large family.

In an appearance on his and Courtney Bee’s We Playin’ Spades podcast, the Wild N’ Out creator admitted that although getting a vasectomy to halt fathering more children would be the ‘responsible thing to do,’ he isn’t closing the door to fathering more children, adding baby number 13 to the brood.

During the conversation former NFL stars Ryan Clark and Channing Crowder were speaking about the recent influx of Black men getting vasectomies. Crowder stated, “It’s another man at this table that needs to think about that s––,” referring to Cannon, who was seated next to him.

Cannon responded, “Feel like this is an intervention.” He added, that he agreed with Crowder on one hand that getting a vasectomy is the “responsible thing to do;” however, he continued saying, “I just — I’m not done.”

As the conversation continued, Cannon was asked if he would like to have baby number 13 with one of the women that he already has children with or if he would seek someone new. The Drumline star replied, “I don’t know. That’s the thing. I leave it to the Lord.”

Cannon has 12 children by six different women. The 44-year-old’s children include: Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey; Golden Sagon, Rise Messiah, and Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa; Legendary Love with Bre Tiesi; Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole; and Halo Marie with Alyssa Scott. He also honors the memory of his son Zen, who passed away in 2021.

Cannon has been very open and candid about the challenges that he faces as a father of multiple children.

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” The Masked Singer host said during a December 2022 episode of The Checkup with Dr. Agus on Paramount+. “One ’cause I’m constantly working and two because I’m just spread thin.”

Whether or not he decides to expand his family further and one day welcome baby number lucky 13, Cannon’s approach to fatherhood unquestionably keeps fans intrigued.
