The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office says the teen was taken to a local hospital in non-life-threatening condition.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A teen is recovering after being shot multiple times during an argument in Northwest Jacksonville Wednesday night, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO’s Sergeant Dishman said that at approximately 7:15 p.m., patrol officers were sent to the 2700 block of Hamilton Circle in reference to the shooting.

When they arrived, they found the teen suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, as he was then taken to a local hospital in non-life-threatening condition, according to Dishman.

The sheriff’s office did not say how many people were a part of the argument, but said it was “between a group of individuals.” JSO also did not release the age of the teen, but said he is in his “late teens.”

Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to call JSO’s non-emergency number at 904-630-0500. To provide information anonymously, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS.
