Khloe Kardashian may not be ready to step back into the dating world just yet, but she still prioritizes having a father figure in her children’s lives.

On a recent episode of her podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, the Good American co-founder opened up about relationships and parenting while speaking with a dating expert. She admitted that while she isn’t actively looking for a romantic partner, she does want someone who can be a supportive presence for her kids.

“What people probably don’t think about me – I’m actually very traditional in a relationship, I like the man to be the man, like lead. I always wanna make the man feel like the man,” she explained in the episode.

“Even if someone makes more money than the other, I would never put that in someone’s face, or have them feel a certain way. I’m just not that person. I don’t need a man for anything, but I want them for companionship, I would think, and just to live life with and create memories with. I do want the help with my kids. I want my kids to see that there’s a Mommy and a Daddy, even if it’s not their Dad.”

Kardashian, 40, shares her two children, True, 6, and Tatum, 2, with her ex, NBA star Tristan Thompson. On a past episode of The Kardashians, she revealed to her best friend, Malika Haqq, that True believes her parents are still together.

“True thinks me and Tristan are married,” Kardashian told Haqq.

“It’s just probably better for her. It’s not like she would really understand,” Haqq responded. “It’s okay.”

“It is the right thing to do. In my opinion. Get married, have kids. That’s what I want to teach her,” Kardashian said.

Still, she admitted in a confessional that one thing about True’s belief doesn’t sit right with her.

“True thinks that me and Tristan are married. The only thing that bothers me about that would be I don’t want True going through life thinking this is what a marriage is,” she explained. “That you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you and you never have to kiss them, or you don’t sleep in the same bed together.”

She continued, “I would love my kids to see me have a husband one day, and I would love them to see love and affection and romance. I do want them to have that. And when she’s older, I can explain it to her. But right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems.”

Thompson and Kardashain called it quits in late 2021 after the news of the basketball players infidelity that resulted in him fathering a child with model, Maralee Nichols.
