APPLING, Ga. () – Granddaddy’s Kitchen has plenty to choose from on the menu, including burgers, pizza, desserts and more.

For this episode of “Your Hometown Road Trip,” the team stopped by and spoke with owner, Mellissa Hoard, about what people can expect when they stop in.

What is Grandaddy’s Kitchen?

“It’s a southern style, with a twist restaurant. This is a very neighborhood, community type of place. I’ll have people that come in and say ‘oh gosh how are y’all.”

What kind of food can people expect here?

“They can expect for everyone to be able to eat something, and I know that sounds crazy, but that’s the way my husband and I did the menu. So if you come in and you don’t like fish, but your wife likes chicken, then you both can get something. On the same premise, if you have a kid who comes in and they want pizza, then guess what, we got pizza too. Ninety-seven percent of what we have is in house made, we don’t go open the tin can. No offense to anyone that does, but we don’t.”

How much has the community supported you?

“The community has been amazing, we have so many regulars and they have welcomed us with open arms. We’re just so thankful for all of our patrons that come to eat and that’s the premise. We want to serve great food and you come and enjoy it.”

Melissa put out one of the biggest spreads that the team has seen since the show launched. They were very thankful for Grandaddy’s Kitchens hospitality.
