A THREE-year-old girl fatally shot her one-year-old sister in the head after finding a loaded gun in her home.

The girl’s dad has been arrested and is facing murder charges after his daughter shot the baby with his gun.

The fatal shooting happened shortly after Michael Tejeda, 25, left the gun at his home in Wichita, Kansas, on the evening on February 28.

In a call to the emergency services Tejeda told the cops his three-year-old daughter had shot her younger sister.

The 911 operator recalled hearing the dad ask the three-year-old “why she did that”.

Tejeda told the cops he was in his bedroom getting changed when he heard a loud bang.

He said his daughter then came running into the room crying.

Tejeda went into the living room where he found his baby girl lying on the sofa, with a gunshot wound to the head.
