HOUSTON, Texas (WJW) — Three teenage siblings were arrested this week after they allegedly tried to kill their mother because she turned off the Wi-Fi.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and detectives were called to a Houston home during the overnight hours of March 23. They found a woman who’d been assaulted by her three kids, ages 14, 15 and 16.

“The three siblings allegedly coordinated a plan to try and kill the mother,” spokesman Ed Gonzalez wrote in a Facebook post.

The three kids allegedly armed themselves with kitchen knives and chased their mother through the house and into the street while attempting to stab her, the post said.

The mother was also hit with a brick during the assault. Additionally, a grandmother was knocked over trying to protect the mother.

No serious injuries were reported, Gonzalez said.

The three teenagers were booked in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center. They’re facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
