Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Joseph Baena, announced a tragic family loss.

The 27-year-old budding actor revealed in an Instagram post on Wednesday that his young nephew, Vicente, has died.

Joseph mentioned that it’s been an exceptionally ‘confusing’ week, noting that ‘we can never truly know the weight someone carries or the battles they face.’

‘It’s been a week since my nephew, Vicente, left us, marking the most difficult and bewildering week of my family’s life,’ he expressed at the beginning of his caption, accompanying several photos of Vicente with the family.

‘My thoughts are consumed by how kind, funny, caring, and intelligent he is, and how deeply we all cherish him. We miss him incredibly and still struggle to accept this as reality,’ he continued.

Joseph shared that he was ‘mad, confused and sad’ about the tragic loss.

‘All I can think about is what a kind, funny, caring and smart kid he is and how much we all love him. We miss him so much and still can’t believe this is all real,’ he wrote in the caption

‘I can’t help but be frustrated, mad, confused and sad for this tragic event, but I also think about how we never truly know what weight a person carries or what battles they struggle with.’

He then made a heartfelt appeal to his fanbase, emphasizing that life is ‘worth living’. 

‘As I mourn with my family I pray that all of you that are struggling, that are hurting and that are tired, may find the strength to be kind to yourself. To find the help that you need. To know that your life is worth living. To know that even if you may not feel it right now, know that you are loved.’

‘We miss you Vicente. Rest in peace.’

One of the photos showed Vicente on Joseph’s shoulders, both beaming with wide smiles as they posed with their arms raised in front of a fountain. 

Another one showed Joseph proudly posing next to Vicente at what appeared to be his college graduation. 

There was also a family shot which included Joseph’s mom, Mildred Patricia Baena, 64. 

The snap was seemingly taken at Joseph’s soccer practice.

One photo showed Joseph with Vicente and their family, who were there to support him on Dancing With The Stars in 2022. 

While the identity of Vicente’s parents is currently unknown, Joseph has a half-sister named Jackie Rozo on his mother’s side. 

Actress Selma Blair took to Joseph’s comments, writing, ‘I am so sorry to hear this. May his memory be a blessing.’ 

Dancing With The Stars pro Sasha Farber wrote, ‘Sending u and your family love so sorry.’ 

Other fans expressed their condolences, with one writing, ‘So sorry for your family’s loss Joe May God bless and bring comfort to you.’ 

Joseph also has half-siblings from his father’s side: Katherine, 35, Patrick, 31, Christina, 33, and Christopher, 27, whom Arnold shares with ex-wife Maria Shriver, 69.

Earlier on Wednesday Maria opened up about her current relationship with Arnold, following the fallout from his shocking affair.

Joseph has followed in his famous father’s footsteps and has a love for bodybuilding; the two seen in 2020

He also shares four children — Katherine, 34, Christina, 32, Patrick, 30, and Christopher, 26 — with Maria. Arnold and Maria married in 1986 and divorced in 2021 

Shriver had no idea about the child until Schwarzenegger revealed the truth years later.

The revelation led to their separation, though it took years for them to officially divorce as Shriver sought healing through therapists, shamans, and psychics.

Now, Shriver says she’s in a ‘good place,’ and despite the past, she and the 77-year-old Terminator star have found a way to co-parent their four children.

‘We laugh a lot about our kids, our grandkids, ourselves,’ she told People on Wednesday. ‘And we are proud of the fact that we are still in conversation. For almost 50 years!’

Shriver and Schwarzenegger tied the knot in 1986, nearly nine years after they first met. They separated in 2011 and finalized their divorce in 2021.
