Scheffler leads RBC Heritages commitments

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. () — RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing announced several top players participating in the 2025 event at Harbour Town.

An RBC Heritage spokesperson said that Akshay Bhatia, Patrick Cantlay, Matt Fitzpatrick, Max Homa, Scottie Scheffler and Justin Thomas will be competing at the 57th tournament April 14-20, 2025.

Scottie Scheffler, the defending champion, is number one on the Official World Golf Ranking and has earned 13 PGA TOUR wins since the beginning of the 2021 season.

Akshay Bhatia is currently ranked 21st on the Official World Golf Rankings. Bhatia was the first high schooler to represent the United States in the Walker Cup and has carded two wins since joining the PGA TOUR in 2023.

Patrick Cantlay is currently 15th on the Official World Golf Rankings and has six top ten finishes in seven starts at Harbour Town. He landed eight wins on the PGA TOUR including four in 2021, earning him the FedExCup title and the Jack Nicklaus Award as PGA TOUR Player of the Year.

Max Homa has won six times on the PGA TOUR since joining in 2014. His first was in 2020, when the tournament took place in June due to COVID-19.

Justin Thomas is currently ninth on the Official World Golf Ranking. He is the sixth player since World War II to win 15 titles before 30-year-old.

Matt Fitzpatrick will play this year after earning his second PGA TOUR victory at the 2023 RBC Heritage. He had his first victory as a PGA TOUR member at the 2022 U.S. Open and landed spot in the 2014 RBC Heritage at just 19 years old by winning the 2013 U.S. Amateur.

PGA TOUR professionals have until Monday, April 14th to commit to compete. The complete field will be posted on RBCHeritage.com at that time.
