They stole hearts on this year’s season of Married At First Sight, and on Saturday, Jamie Marinos and Awhina Rutene reunited in Sydney ahead of the reunion playing out on screens.

The reality TV besties were spotted looking absolutely thrilled to see each other as they touched down at Sydney Airport ahead of Dua Lipa’s sold-out concert. 

Jamie, 28, and Awhina, 31, couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces as they embraced at the arrivals terminal after jetting in from their respective hometowns.

The pair, who formed a strong friendship during their time on the hit reality show, are in Sydney as special VIP guests of Aussie fashion powerhouse Showpo, who are hosting an exclusive influencer soirée at the concert alongside CEO Jane Lu.

The dynamic duo were seen wheeling their luggage through the terminal, dressed in cool and casual streetwear ensembles. 

Awhina opted for a sporty and comfy look, wearing a cropped grey sweatshirt and matching grey shorts, flaunting her toned legs and tiny tattoos.

She completed her look with a pair of black and white Nike Dunks and kept her brunette locks loose in soft waves.

Jamie, who became a MAFS fan-favourite for her straight-talking attitude and close bond with Awhina, looked effortlessly chic in a pair of black figure-hugging leggings and a cropped black denim jacket over a plunging top.

She accessorised with a pair of black Vans sneakers, a mini shoulder bag, and oversized sunglasses perched on top of her head. 

The ladies appeared in high spirits as they chatted animatedly, laughed, and even shared a heartfelt hug outside the terminal.

At one point, Awhina was seen cheekily holding a phone and water bottle in front of Jamie’s face as they giggled, clearly excited for their fun-filled weekend together.

Daily Mail Australia understands the brides will be joining a star-studded crowd at tonight’ Dua Lipa gig, sitting in VIP seats alongside Showpo’s Jane Lu and a bevy of top influencers and reality stars.

‘Jamie and Awhina became inseparable after filming wrapped. They’re genuinely best friends and have been counting down to this night for weeks,’ a source revealed.

The reunion comes just weeks after the pair of brides stole the spotlight at the MAFS reunion taping, with insiders revealing they remained ‘thick as thieves’ while the rest of the cast clashed over lingering drama.

Awhina was notably one of the only girls who stood by Jamie during her time on the show, and was one of the only brides there for her during her tough time at the couple’s retreat.

‘Awhina actually scolded the whole group for not sticking up for me. She’s such a genuine friend,’ Jamie gushed about Awhina to Daily Mail Australia last month.

‘I was so distraught I couldn’t even leave my room, and Jacqui (Burfoot), Adrian (Araouzou), and Awhina all visited me [after the retreat blowup].’

Married At First Sight continues Sunday at 7pm on Channel Nine.
