EDGEFIELD COUNTY, S.C. () – An Edgefield County man has been arrested again regarding crimes against children.

Law enforcement acted on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, that child sexual abuse material was being uploaded to an IP address in Edgefield County.

Investigators followed up the lead and learned the address and the identity of a suspect.

Armed with a search warrant, investigators located 24-year-old Richard Craig Stevens, Jr. at an address on West Five Notch Road and executed the warrant.

Two telephones were confiscated from Stevens and the investigation of the phones revealed both phones had been used in the crimes, and one was found to have over 100 uploads of child sexual abuse material on the phone.

Stevens was known to the Investigators due to his previous arrest and conviction in early 2023 for Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.
