A WALMART in South Carolina has been swarmed by cops after a shooting at the store.
Dozens of police cars are blocking the entrance to the Walmart in Lancaster as officials urge the public to stay away.
“There has been a shooting incident at Walmart in the City of Lancaster at 805 Highway 9 ByPass West,” the Lancaster Police Department wrote on Facebook.
“Stay away from Walmart in Lancaster!” they added in a follow-up post.
Terrified witnesses reported seeing more than 30 police cars at the store, along with EMS and fire trucks.
“Does anyone know what is going on at the back of the Walmart in Lancaster?” one worried resident wrote on Facebook.
“There has to be at least 40 crime scene vehicles and police cars out there as well as ambulances and more!”
Another person described being rushed out of the store.
“Please don’t come to Walmart in Lancaster,” they wrote.
“Someone has a gun inside. I was [in the] bathroom. I was [ushered] out [the] backdoor. I can’t get to my car.”
The police department and sheriff’s office didn’t immediately respond to The U.S. Sun’s requests for comment.
Cops said they’d give an update on the situation as soon as possible.
