A plan for lots on the financed Coyote Pass land are seen in an episode of 'Sister Wives'

The Brown family has figured out a way to equitably break up the property they own in Flagstaff, but Robyn Brown dragged the process on.

Season 19 of Sister Wives has been on a little break, but the Brown family has been busy behind the scenes. The family spent much of season 19 discussing the fate of Coyote Pass, the land the family purchased ahead of their 2018 move. As is typical, that was old footage. The Browns have officially redistributed ownership of the Flagstaff land to be far more equitable. What happens next is anyone’s guess, though.

The Brown family has settled their dispute over Coyote Pass

Season 19 of Sister Wives isn’t over yet, but big changes are coming. Fans who have followed the season know that the division of Coyote Pass was a sticking point with Kody, Meri, and Janelle Brown. Janelle and Meri both feared Kody was trying to rip them off. As season 19 progressed, it became apparent that Kody did intend to keep more of Coyote Pass than he should have been entitled to. Meri and Janelle used lawyers to settle the dispute, which worked out for them.

Coyote Pass has officially been redistributed, according to property information accessed by Starcasm. In the new division, Kody and Robyn, as a legally married couple, own 50% of the 14 acres of land. Janelle and Meri each own 25% of the acreage. While Janelle and Meri are still, unfortunately, linked to Kody and Robyn because of the property, the redistribution gives them the leverage they need moving forward.

What they will end up doing with the land is anyone’s guess. Still, it is safe to assume Meri and Janelle want the land sold sooner rather than later. Neither Meri nor Janelle lives in Flagstaff.

Robyn Brown seemingly held up the changes

Robyn Brown, who has largely been blamed for ending the plural family, appears to have been a potential problem during the redistribution efforts. While property records indicate Kody Brown and his two ex-wives quickly submitted their needed paperwork, Robyn Brown lagged behind.

Janelle Brown was the first to submit her deed paperwork in early January 2025. Meri and Kody both signed their documents within days of Janelle. Robyn didn’t sign off on her portion of the sale until March 27. It is unclear if there is a reason her paperwork took longer or if she sat on the process longer than the other three parties. Robyn has insisted she felt like the one “left behind” by Janelle, Meri, and Christine Brown’s departure from the family. It’s possible she held off on signing the papers to be petty.

We might not learn much more this season, though. It is unclear how much of the process Sister Wives will cover when the season returns on April 20.
