ORLANDO, Fla. – A high-pressure system to our east will keep things breezy and dry across Central Florida on Friday. Expect a steady southeast breeze, especially along the coast with gusts up to 30 mph.

The air will be getting even drier today, with minimal rain around. We might see a few clouds, but it’s going to be mostly clear. Highs will be in the low to mid 80s along the coast, and upper 80s to near 90 inland.

Weekend:

Temperatures will crank up a bit further into the weekend. Expect highs in the mid 80s at the coast and near 90 inland on Saturday. By Sunday some areas could hit or come close to record highs in the low 90s.

Monday-Tuesday:

Things start to change Monday night into Tuesday as a cold front moves in from the north. This will bring a much higher chance of rain, especially overnight and into Tuesday morning.

Expect a 60-70% chance of showers, and some stronger storms could develop, particularly with gusty winds. However, instability looks limited, so strong storms aren’t likely to be a widespread issue.

Wednesday-Thursday:

Behind the front, we’ll see cooler temperatures starting Tuesday, with highs in the 70s through Thursday and lows dipping into the mid 50s to low 60s. It’s going to feel a lot more comfortable after the front passes.
