Four others charged in the murder will all have their arraignments by April 10, court records show.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two people charged in the murder of Jacksonville 7-year-old Breon Allen pleaded not guilty to all charges against them in Duval County court Thursday morning.

Dannel Larkins, 20, and Keith Johnson, 21, both pleaded not guilty to charges of second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and first-degree attempted murder during their arraignments.

Keith Fields, 18, and Zharod Sykes, 24, were arrested on March 12 along with Larkins and Johnson in connection to the murder. And on Friday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office arrested Donte McGhee, 17, and Tavaris Kelly, 17, also in connection to the killing.

Breon and his cousin, 21-year-old Lafayette Mango, were shot while walking along Commonwealth Avenue on Jacksonville’s Westside on Jan. 24. Mango survived after suffering serious injuries.

The drive-by shooting happened just after 5 p.m. and was gang-related, police said.

The arrest warrants for Fields, Larkins, Johnson and Sykes state that the four men are associated with rapper Foolio’s gang, ‘6 Block,’ and that their target was a rapper and associate of rival gang ‘ATK.’

“It was a targeted, planned act of bloodshed,” Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said at a press conference.

Waters called Allen a “treasured child.” He said the killing was unnecessary, horrible and should never happen in the community.

“They don’t care about people in this community,” Waters said. “So, let’s put them where they belong. Let’s not let them see the light of day ever again.”

Larkins is due back in court for his first pre-trial hearing on April 29, while Johnson is next due back in court for a pre-trial hearing on May 1.

As for the other men charged in Breon’s murder, Sykes will have his arraignment on Monday, Kelly’s arraignment will be on Wednesday, and McGhee and Fields will have their arraignments on April 10, court records show.
