Gia Giudice recalled her past secret breakup with boyfriend Christian Carmichael, and shared that he was seeing other girls before they became official. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star also revealed the moment he caught her looking through his texts.

Gia has been open about her relationship with Christian, which started about six years ago. The star has discussed the idea of potentially moving in with him, though at the moment she’s still living with her mom, Teresa Giudice.

On her new “Casual Chaos” podcast, Gia shared that Christian, after a summer of hanging out with her, “didn’t say bye to me” when she left for college, which made her “really upset.” But Christian – who was present in the podcast episode – said he “didn’t think anything of it.” Gia then called him “dumb,” and claimed he chose to hang out with friends instead of saying goodbye to her, despite her asking him to.

“I think you actually went to the movies,” said the 24-year-old. “[So I] didn’t know where we were at this point. It was weird, I was mad. I was like, okay maybe this isn’t what I thought it was going to be … We’ll see what happens.”

A few weeks later, Christian came to visit her at college. But in the weeks leading up to his visit, according to Gia, he was “100 percent doing things with other girls.”

“Yeah, so were you,” Christian responded. “You hooked up with people at school.”

“I might have kissed two people during syllabus week, and I felt horrible,” she said. “God knows what you did.” Later on, Christian took her on a trip to Florida, which was technically their “first date,” when he “asked me out … again.”

A year and a half later, everything “went downhill.”

“The reason we broke up was because I was immature, and communication was horrible,” admitted Christian. “I was always with my friends. And I had no drive, you said, cause I didn’t have my first job until … I was 22, 21 … and I hated community school, so I gave that up.”

But after they broke up, Christian got “two jobs.”

“I literally wanted to kill him [then],” said Gia. “Then he was just obviously doing everything to show me that he was growing as a person … And we [ran into] each other everywhere.”

At one point, Gia introduced herself to a woman she heard Christian was dating. Gia approached her under the guise that she thought she knew her from college. In reality, Gia “needed to look at her” and realize “I’m so much prettier.”

Gia and Christian claimed they “hooked up” a few times after their breakup. According to Gia, during one of these hookups, she looked through his texts with the woman while he was in the bathroom, and Gia wanted to “throw up.”

“One text [from the woman] was, “‘Holy ****, your ex just came up to me at the bar,’” recalled Gia, who claimed that the woman was “weird” and “had an obsession with me.” 

Christian came out of the bathroom and saw her reading his texts, and Gia admitted it immediately: “He saw me on his phone and I’m like, ‘you’re hooking up with a weirdo!’”

Gia and Christian got back together six or seven months after seeing other people, because it ultimately didn’t feel right. They’ve been together ever since.
