Red flags are up along the beach due to dangerous water conditions.
JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a water rescue at Jacksonville Beach Sunday afternoon, according to a spokesperson with the Jacksonville Beach Ocean Rescue Division.
The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said one person was taken to the hospital around 3 p.m. Sunday in critical condition.
Maxwell Ervanian with Jacksonville Beach Ocean Rescue told First Coast News the individual was taken to the hospital after being rescued from the water Sunday afternoon.
He said red flags are up along the beach due to dangerous water conditions.
Ervanian said ocean rescue performed more than seven water rescues this weekend alone, adding that this weekend has been the busiest weekend for crews so far this year.
