The Mexican producer, who spent decades working for the network Televisa, had undergone several health battles in recent years.

He was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in 2017 and received a bone marrow transplant.

In 2020, he was given the all clear, but fell sick again.

A statement in Spanish was uploaded to his Instagram platform, that announced his death to his fans.

“I want to share that I have reached the end of my life,” he said.

“Cancer was a tremendous battle that I fought with everything I could, but God has decided that this disease will no longer harm me.”

“I thank God for allowing me to continue living since I was diagnosed in 2017, and for allowing me to enjoy my children, Vica, and my entire family.”

“I am thankful for my friends who never left. Thank you for being there.”

Del Bosque signed off the lengthy statement with the phrase “Con amor,” which translates to “with love.”

The Instagram post has been flooded with tributes.

Actress Maribel Guardia, a former Miss Universe contestant, said “bon voyage” to the producer.

“No one will forget your talent and above all the extraordinary human being you were,” she said.

“Now you are in the arms of our Lord Jesus.”

TRIBUTES FLOOD IN

Luz Elena Gonzalez, also an actress, said it was an honor to know Del Bosque.

And, TV star Odalys Ramirez also paid a gushing tribute.

“I have no words to thank you for how much I learned during our time at Telehit,” she said.

“Always pioneering, innovating, unafraid of what people might say. Listening to each of our proposals and ideas.”

Del Bosque was the mastermind behind Telehit – which launched in 1993.

Telehit is a Mexican cable TV network that rivals MTV.

Just months before his death, Del Bosque revealed what he was hoping 2025 would bring.

“May this 2025 be filled with hope, peace, love, blessings, hugs and love, gratitude, and appreciating all that deserves it no matter how small it may seem,” he captioned a social media post.

He was standing on a rocky beach and his arms were raised to the sky.
