East Georgia State College receives donation from the Georgia Power Foundation

SWAINSBORO, Ga. () – The East Georgia State College (EGSC) Foundation announced it has received a needs-based scholarship fund totaling a $15,000 donation from the Georgia Power Foundation.

The contribution will directly support returning students, ensuring they have the financial assistance needed to stay enrolled and continue their education at EGSC. The funds will help to ease the burden of tuition, fees and other expenses.

“We are deeply grateful to the Georgia Power Foundation for their commitment to supporting our students. This donation underscores the importance of education and the role that partnerships play in empowering students to succeed,” said Harley Smith, Vice President for Institutional Advancement at EGSC. “The scholarship funds will make a real difference in the lives of our returning students, enabling them to stay on track toward graduation and contribute to the community in meaningful ways.”
