During the trailer for Vanderpump Villa’s second season, it is shown that Stassi Schroeder will be a big part of the show. After previously starring in eight Vanderpump Rules seasons, Stassi is portrayed as being Lisa Vanderpump’s eyes and ears during Vanderpump Villa’s second season.
As a result of her role during Vanderpump Villa’s second season, Stassi had a unique perspective on the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ cast appearing on the show. In March 2025, Stassi spoke to Us Weekly about her experience with the stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

During that conversation, Stassi revealed how much she enjoyed being with the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
“When I hung out with [the Mormon Wives cast], it was so fun. They’re so fun — and they’re sober. Most of them [were]. So, it’s like, ‘Oh! Sober people [aren’t] that fun,’ but they are.”
Stassi also remarked to the outlet that the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was, “so nice.”
The aforementioned trailer for Vanderpump Villa’s second season revealed something else about the upcoming crossover event.
As a February 2025 Collider article revealed, Stassi Schroeder joining the cast of Vanderpump Villa is a big deal for her. Stassi was fired from Vanderpump Rules in 2020 after news of her past racially insensitive actions surfaced. After her firing, Stassi took accountability and moved on with her life, including having her second child.
During the trailer, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Demi Engemann appeared to have a bond with a male Vanderpump Villa star.
Of course, anyone who has seen a reality show should know that teases can make situations seem a lot more dramatic than they really were. As a result, Vanderpump Villa star Marciano Burnette saying that he has an “instant connection” with Demi may be much ado of nothing.
That said, the trailer certainly makes it seem like Marciano and Demi’s connection deeply upset Hannah Fouch.
Vanderpump Villa’s Crossover Isn’t The First Time The Show’s Stars Have Interacted With The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives
Before the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives showed up on Vanderpump Villa, there has been some interactions between the shows. The most notable example of that involved the former Vanderpump Rules star Sheana Shay.
When the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives traveled to Los Angeles, some of the show’s stars made appearances on Scheana Shay’s podcast, “Scheananigans With Scheana.” As an October 2024 TheThings article shows, there was later some conjecture that Scheana may have been trying to join the cast of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
As that article shows, that conjecture was based on those podcast interviews and Scheana appearing on the Instagram accounts of some of the Mormon wives.
In September 2024, another former Vanderpump Rules star made headlines because of her comments about The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. While talking about The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Lala Kent implied that they were sketchy shows. As an Us Weekly article shows, Lala made her remarks during an episode of her “Give Them Lala” podcast.
“It’s similar to when The Real Housewives of Salt Lake [City] started. It was like I loved it, but it was hard to watch because it was almost like I was watching just like home videos or something. I’m going to need someone to develop a show in Utah that is not so sketchy.”
Of course, Lala is far from the only person who has been critical of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
