A disturbed individual assaulted a pedestrian in Midtown, stabbing him in the head multiple times before stealing a small amount of in a shocking incident that took place on Wednesday. The authorities and sources provided details about the disturbing attack that occurred in broad daylight.

The stranger charged up to the 33-year-old victim at the corner of West 32nd Street and Fifth Avenue around 12:30 p.m. and pushed him to the ground, police said. 

He then flashed a knife, stabbed the victim in the head multiple times and grabbed $10 from his pants pocket, according to authorities and sources.

The wounded man was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. 

The attacker was still on the loose hours later.

The afternoon violence came just two days after a deranged stranger – identified by cops as Muslim Brunson, 46 – allegedly stabbed an off-Broadway costume designer with a broken bottle in an unprovoked attack at the corner of Broome and Wooster streets in Soho.
