On Thursday, Weezer bassist Scott Shriner finally spoke out following the incident where his wife was shot by police and charged with attempted murder. In a strange turn of events, Shriner used this opportunity to bring attention to his band’s upcoming performance at Coachella this weekend.

The incident unfolded when Shriner’s wife, Jillian Shriner, was shot and injured outside their home in Los Angeles. The shooting occurred as she reportedly got involved in a police manhunt unrelated to their situation, resembling a scene from a Hollywood movie.

“She’s alright, thank you for asking,” the 59-year-old rocker said as he casually walked four dogs outside their home on Thursday.

“See you at Coachella!” he added, as he returned to the gated-home with the couple’s four dogs.

The dramatic events surrounding Shriner’s wife took place in Eagle Rock, a neighborhood in northeast Los Angeles. The situation escalated when police were in pursuit of three individuals involved in a hit-and-run incident on a nearby highway.

Cops were following one of the perps into a backyard when they allegedly came face-to-face with Jillian — who was armed with a 9-mm handgun — on the porch of her home.

They ordered Jillian to drop the gun “numerous times” — but she refused and pointed it directly at the officers, police alleged.

An officer opened fire and struck the musician’s wife in the shoulder, police said.

Aerial footage captured by KTLA’s news choppers showed an injured Jillian walking down her driveway with her hands in the air to surrender to cops.

She then laid face-down on the ground before being cuffed by police.

Jillian was later booked on suspicion of attempted murder for wielding the gun at officers.

She cut loose after posting a $1 million bond, records showed.

Jillian, a best-selling author, hasn’t commented on the ordeal.
