SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Savannah Police said they have arrested a man in connection to an auto theft that occurred Thursday.

Anthony Mitchell, 29, was arrested and charged with theft-by-receiving stolen property, a Savannah Police Department (SPD) spokesperson said.

Around 2:30 p.m. Thursday, the Bulloch County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) contacted Chatham Dispatch to inform them of a stolen 2022 Dodge RAM 1500 that was reportedly alerting Flock cameras throughout Chatham County municipalities, SPD said.

Since Bulloch officials entered the vehicle into Flock, the alert was activated, and police were able to locate the truck.

The SPD Community Response Team and Patrol agencies located the truck west on East Victory Drive towards Skidaway Road. While the truck was stick in heavy traffic, police conducted a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle.
