Three times wasn’t the charm. Maybe the fourth time will be.

The latest firing of Meyers was thoroughly covered here at RedState, so I just wanted to comment on the rash of them lately. It seems that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is turning out to be a Medusa with many heads. And it’s been slithering around out there since 2008 when Obama became president. That means the beast hatched out of the egg almost 20 years ago and spawned–and it didn’t stop spawning. 

In this latest episode, Meyers thought to speak for the entire base by saying, “I do not presume to understand current politics, but what I do know is the concerns of the U.S. administration discussed by Vice President Vance on Friday are not reflective of Pituffik Space Base,”  Effectively saying, Sorry, Not Sorry. And then capping it off with, “I commit that, for as long as I am lucky enough to lead this base, all of our flags will fly proudly — together.”
