Big Daddy fans 'feel old' after learning shocking fact about Dylan and Cole Sprouse

Fans of Adam Sandler have been left stunned after discovering a sobering fact about Dylan and Cole Sprouse, who portrayed Julian in the film Big Daddy.

The 1999 comedy-drama follows the life of Sonny Koufax, a lovable 32-year-old slacker played by Sandler. Despite having a law degree, Sonny drifts aimlessly through life.

After receiving $200,000 in compensation from a minor accident, he passes the time watching TV and playing games.

He works one day a week at a toll booth and relies on his slightly incompetent friend Nazo, played by Rob Schneider, for daily food deliveries.

Sonny’s girlfriend Vanessa ends their relationship due to his lack of ambition and direction, citing her desire for a proper “five year plan” for the future.

His life takes an unexpected turn when his roommate Kevin Gerrity, a lawyer, leaves for a work trip to China, leaving Sonny alone in the apartment. The next morning, he finds a five-year-old boy from Buffalo named Julian, played by twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse, left at their apartment with a note stating his mother can no longer care for him due to a serious illness.

The note also claims Kevin is Julian’s biological father. When Sonny contacts Kevin to inform him, his friend is confused, insisting he has never been to Buffalo.

Nevertheless, Sonny agrees to look after Julian until Kevin returns from China and can unravel the situation. Despite Sonny’s lack of experience in caring for children, he and Julian grow to care deeply for one another, developing a strong bond that leaves Sonny forever changed.

Fans of the classic comedy were in shock after realising Adam Sandler was 32-years-old during filming – and this is the same age the Sprouse twins are now.

The beloved duo, born on August 4, 1992, were just six when they took turns playing Julian, bringing an irresistible mix of vulnerability and humour to the role. Now at 32, they continue to captivate audiences with their acting prowess.

Cole Sprouse, who famously portrayed Ross Geller’s son Ben in Friends, has since become a fixture on our screens with his regular role in the hit show Riverdale, and appearances in movies like Five Feet Apart and Lisa Frankenstein.

His brother Dylan Sprouse, husband to model Barbara Palvin, is no stranger to the limelight either, featuring in films such as After We Collided and Beautiful Disaster.

A Reddit user recently expressed their amazement: “TIL [today I learned] that Cole and Dylan Sprouse are now the same age Adam Sandler was when he played their adoptive dad in Big Daddy”.

This revelation sparked a flurry of reactions, with one person tagging the subreddit “F**k I’m old” and another commenting humorously about feeling aged: “Swear I felt my shoulder pop reading this”.

Another Reddit user shared their own personal moment of shock: “I’m f***ing older than he [Adam Sandler] was in that movie?!?”
