DELAND, Fla. – A two-vehicle crash in DeLand has an intersection partially closed on Sunday after a broken fire hydrant caused the road to be damaged, city officials said.

According to a news release, a pickup truck with a lawn trailer and an SUV were involved in a crash at the intersection of Woodland Boulevard and Beresford Avenue around 9 a.m.

Officials said that a fire hydrant was damaged in the crash, which caused “significant damage to the roadway in the southbound lanes of the Woodland Boulevard-Beresford Avenue intersection, which remains closed until further notice.”
