A customer who erupted into a foul-mouthed tirade at a barber because he was unhappy with his haircut has been slammed by online commenters.

In a video shared to TikTok, the man is heard berating a barber at 3Kings Barbers in Three Kings in Auckland, New Zealand.

The Maori man spewed a racial slur at the Indian barber and demanded a refund for his haircut.

The footage showed the barber serving another client while trying to call the police as the man continued to hurl abuse at him.

‘What were you f***ing saying to me?’ the man yelled.

‘Go on, call the cops. All I asked for was a refund you dumb c***’.

The man accused the barber of giving him a bad haircut ‘on purpose’, then mocked his way of speaking.

He then claimed his sister was a professional hairdresser for 17 years.

‘Then why did you come here for?’ the barber shot back.

The man continues his verbal spray and claims the barber would amount to nothing and that he should not be in New Zealand.

‘Don’t try to f*** me up. This is my whenua (land),’ the man yelled.

‘Give me my money back if you don’t want to fix it…. take our money and f***ing rip us off.’

The man followed the barber around the shop and tried for a second time to get a refund for his haircut.

However, the barber firmly refused to give him his money back, which angered the man who replied with a racial slur.

As the man left the barber shop he physically threatened the barber, claiming he would ‘knock him out’.

Social media users were appalled at the man’s behaviour, with many defending the barber.

‘So I’m Maori… but this Maori dude is a different kettle of fish. we don’t want him,’ one commented.

‘It’s your choice to walk into a barbershop knowing it’s not gonna be perfect depending on who the hairstylist is,’ a second wrote.

‘The racial abuse is so wrong and so is the “my land” card.’

A third chimed: ‘Just write a review on Google. Tell every one you know about the bad hair cut. Never go back there again. Put it down to a bad purchase and walk away.’

Daily Mail Australia has contacted 3Kings Barbers for comment.
