AUGUSTA, Ga () – Many look forward to going to Daniel Field Airport with their friends and family to watch the dozens of private planes take off after a week at Augusta National Golf Club.
One family says they saw this annual tradition on the news last year and decided to experience it for themselves.
Nathaniel Deloach’s daughter Gracie loves planes, so this was her perfect day.
“When the Masters started, we actually let her watch the planes coming in and going out, she loved it, so we decided to come here on the last day of Masters and let her see the planes leaving.” Deloach said.
A mom, Kristy Guffey, and her daughter have lived in Augusta for many years and attended the Masters this year.
They had a wonderful time and are now watching the week come to an end at the airport.
“I’ve been here for 43 years, and I’ve never done this, so I wanted to try it with her and get the excitement, she loves Masters week. We went to drive, chip and putt on Sunday, that was her second time, she loved it and shopping and seeing all the golfers. I got a little bear.” said Guffey.
Deloach said he doesn’t wish to see much except for one thing.
“Just a smile on my daughters face watching the planes going up and out.” said Deloach.
If you were not able to make it this year, make sure you mark it on your calendars for next year.
