AT least six people have been killed in suspected US airstrikes on the Houthis in Yemen’s capital.

Donald Trump issued a fiery threat to the Iran-backed terror group on Sunday and warned them it was “time to hide”.

Footage aired by the Houthis’ al-Masirah satellite news channel showed firefighters trying to put out a raging fire they claimed had been caused by US strikes.

The footage also showed streets covered in rubble outside what is thought to be a ceramics factory in the capital.

The overnight strikes reportedly killed at least six people and left a further 26 injured.

The Houthis separately claimed that they shot down an American drone over Yemen on Sunday night.

A spokesperson for the Houthi military said they brought down the MQ-9 Reaper with a “locally manufactured missile”.

The US military’s Central Command – which oversees American military operations – did not acknowledge the strikes.

This comes after nuclear talks between the US and Iran in Oman over the weekend.

Oman diplomat Badr al-Busaidi confirmed that the talks were positive, saying that they began in a “friendly atmosphere”.

The two parties agreed to meet again this week with Donald Trump adding: “We’ll be making a decision on Iran very quickly,”

But the president issued an aggressive warning to the Houthis on Sunday.

The president vowed to fight the terror group and bring peace to the region in a chilling video which appeared to show an apparent terrorist being bombed.

Writing on Truth Social, Trump said: “Time for the terrorists to hide, but it won’t do them any good.

“Our Warfighters, the Greatest the World has ever seen, will find them and bring them to swift Justice.

“I empowered our Warfighters, once again, just like I did against our fight with ISIS, who were completely obliterated in three weeks under General Daniel Caine, our new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

“We will support the Somali People, who should not allow the Houthis to embed (which they are trying to do!), to end terrorism, and bring prosperity to their Country.”

Just a few weeks ago, Trump began his “unrelenting” campaign of airstrikes against the Houthis in Yemen.

The campaign has killed more than 120 people so far, according to figures released by the Houthis’ Health Ministry on Monday.

The attacks are part of US efforts to stop the attacks on shipping in the Red Sea.

The Houthis claimed to have twice attacked the American aircraft carrier USS Harry Truman and its accompanying warships within 24 hours.

In response the US launched what it called a “decisive and powerful” wave of air strikes.

The US president has previously demanded that Iran stop supporting the rebel group, and vowed to hold the Islamic Republic accountable for “every shot” the group fires.

US plans to strike Iran

DONALD Trump gave the Houthis a two-month deadline to reach an agreement on Tehran’s nuclear scheme.

Nuke talks between the US and Iran were held on Saturday, but tensions between the nations remain high.

Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that Trump has Israel’s full support to reach a settlement with Iran last week.

But he warned: “Whatever happens, we have to make sure that Iran does not have nuclear weapons.”

Sources in Tel Aviv say Israel is poised to blitz Iran within weeks in a coordinated effort with the US if Tehran fails to thrash out a nuke deal.

Dr Zimmt said it is likely Israel and the US will consider blitzing Iran within weeks.

He told The Sun: “We are at the closest point of reaching the possibility of either Israeli or an American attack against Iran.

“If there is no understanding or certainly agreement between the two sides by late June, July, I think that the prospects for military confrontation will be very high.

“What’s going to happen in the next few weeks and months, mostly between Iran and the US, will certainly have a major impact on the trajectory and decision whether we are going to face a military strike.”
