HINESVILLE, Ga. () — Diners at a popular Hinesville restaurant experienced a chaotic moment when a utility vehicle struck the building, injuring two customers and a passenger during lunch time.

According to a Georgia State Patrol (GSP) Trooper, a utility vehicle carrying ladders and work equipment traveled westbound on East Oglethorpe highway shortly after 12:30 p.m. when the right front tire blew out. This caused the driver to veer into the parking lot of the World Of Beer restaurant, where he struck a parked vehicle before hitting the building, injuring two customers.

The trooper added that the two injured were complaining of back pain. The passenger in the utility truck was hurt when a ladder placed in the rear of the vehicle smashed through the rear window, hitting the passenger in the head.

GSP said the driver will be cited for traveling with an unsecured load. Those injured were transported to a nearby medical center.
