JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Washington County Tennessee Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) arrested a man on Friday near Arnold Road after an alleged attempt to evade law enforcement on foot.

According to a press release from the WCSO, deputies attempted to stop a driver, later identified as 38-year-old David Alan Greene Jr., on Arnold Road late Friday afternoon. Greene reportedly abandoned his vehicle in the 300 block of that road and fled into the woods on foot.

K-9 Officer Sheba was able to track Greene to a nearby creek, where deputies found him hiding under a fallen tree, according to the release.

The release said that Greene was transported to the Washington County Detention Center under a $12,000 bond. His charges include evading arrest, resisting a traffic stop, driving on a revoked license and window tint violation.
