WNBA prospect Sedona Prince goes undrafted after allegations

Texas Christian University star Sedona Prince was left on the board during the 2025 WNBA draft.

The 6-foot-7 center was expected to be picked in the late first round of the draft, but she was not among the 38 players chosen on Monday night.

Prince, who finished her seventh and final collegiate season this year, was not invited to attend the live event in person either.

Despite going undrafted, there is still a chance Prince could be invited to a team tryout or take her talents overseas.

The draft occurred amidst allegations of sexual assault and abuse against the 24-year-old athlete, all of which she has strongly refuted.

In February, the Washington Post reported that Prince had gotten into a physical altercation with a former partner the month prior.

TCU campus police reportedly responded to a call from Prince’s off-campus residence after the two got into an argument.

Reports indicate that both women filed domestic violence reports against each other following an incident where they both suffered minimal injuries. Prince displayed a black eye, while her ex-girlfriend had bruises on her arms and legs, according to police accounts.

However, no charges were filed at the time due to a lack of evidence. The unidentified woman reportedly signed a nondisclosure agreement.

Six months prior, TikTok user Olivia Stabile posted a multi-part series accusing Prince of emotional and physical abuse.

Stabile, 23, claimed Prince had punched her chest and pushed her against a wall while they were vacationing in Mexico in 2024.

She also alleged that the basketball player shoved her off the back of a moving ATV and drove away.

Her videos garnered millions of views, leading Prince to address the allegations on her own social media pages.

“I have never abused anybody in my life,” she said at the time. “That’s not who I am, that’s not what I do, that’s not what I stand for.”

According to the Washington Post, two other women have also come forward with accusations of assault since Prince’s collegiate career began.

The first allegation dates back to 2019 when Alyssa Jimmie claimed the influencer had sexually assaulted her after a date.

Jimmie told the newspaper that Prince penetrated her with her fingers without consent while they were sitting in her car, which the athlete allegedly refused to unlock.

The accuser claimed Prince told her she “didn’t take [her] out for nothing” before the alleged assault.

Another Jane Doe alleged that the former Oregon player had “forcibly kissed her” after a date in 2022 despite repeatedly rebuffing Prince’s advances.

Prince allegedly grabbed the woman’s hand and forced Doe to penetrate her.

The lawsuit was later withdrawn.

The numerous allegations led to backlash online, with more than 200,000 people signing a petition for TCU to cut Prince from its Horned Frogs team.

The social media star, who has nearly 3 million followers across platforms, has vehemently denied all the allegations and maintains she has never abused anyone.

“Sedona has not been charged with a crime or found guilty of any wrongdoing,” her lawyer, A. Boone Almanza, said in a statement to ESPN before the draft.

“Rather, she has been convicted on social media by people who have attempted to use their relationship with Sedona to attract followers and to build their influencer careers and settle grudges. To the extent she has made any mistakes different from other young people in their early dating life, it was solely the decision to be on TikTok.”
