Seth Rogen’s remarks critical of President Trump and his support from tech executives at a ceremony “honoring scientists as heroes of our society” were reportedly cut from a stream of the event.

The “Knocked Up” star appeared as one of the onstage presenters at the Breakthrough Prize in Santa Monica, Calif., earlier this month. But his comments denouncing Trump, without mentioning the president by name, weren’t included in a stream of the ceremony posted this week on YouTube, The Hollywood Reporter first reported on Tuesday.

According to the publication, Rogen took to the stage alongside Edward Norton, who lauded some of the attendees at the Breakthrough Prize, including co-founders Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google co-founder Sergey Brin and technology investor Yuri Milner for underwriting the annual awards.

“And it’s amazing that others [who have been] in this room underwrote electing a man who, in the last week, single-handedly destroyed all of American science,” Rogen, 43, said.

“It’s amazing how much good science you can destroy with $320 million and RFK Jr, very fast,” Rogen said, referring to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

The Breakthrough Prize website describes part of its mission as “inspiring the next generation of scientists” and “championing science for the benefit of all as a global, apolitical organization.”

A spokesperson for the organization didn’t immediately return ITK’s request for comment.
