Georgia Prince, who owns a local beauty salon Brows by Prince in Wellington, has large plastic eyelashes attached to the front of her car.

However, last Sunday she returned to her parked car to discover a note on the windscreen telling her to stop parking in the suburb of Te Aro.

“Dear Beetle owner. I don’t enjoy seeing your silly car with its silly eyelashes and pink sticking plasters. It looks like a car version of Nicki Minaj,” the note read.

It continued, “please refrain from parking here, there is a Wilson Parking nearby, or other options. Yours sincerely. The residents of Te Aro.”

“Never. It is the opposite. When I am walking to my car I will always see people smiling or laughing or taking photos. It brings people joy. That is all I have ever seen.”

Prince remains at a loss as to who placed the note on the car but believes it was one person acting alone and not the residents of the area as claimed by the note.

“I just genuinely feel a lot of pity and sadness for who would write that. What a sad life you live.”

Prince said she would not be deterred by the note and will continue to park in the area.

“I’m gonna actually get that note laminated and stuck up on the inside of the back window. It’s just so silly. Like, oh my god where is the fun and personality and spark in your life.”
