Clare Crawley appearted on ‘Got to Get Out’ a new compettion show on Hulu, but she didn’t make it to the final episode.
Clare Crawley made a name for herself in 2020 as a reality TV quitter. She’s leaning into that branding in 2025, too. Crawley is currently working as an influencer but recently signed up for a reality TV show. Like her time on The Bachelorette, her tenure on Got to Get Out was short-lived. She opted to walk away without seeing things through. Let’s look at the two times Clare Crawley quit reality TV.
Why did Clare Crawley leave ‘The Bachelorette’ in 2020?
Clare Crawley departed from The Bachelorette Season 16 after just four episodes. The decision for a lead to leave the series early was unprecedented. Her decision stemmed from her infatuation with Dale Moss. From the beginning, Crawley was enamored with Moss and ignored the other contestants. Chris Harrison, then the host of The Bachelorette, confronted Crawley about her behavior. Once confronted, she admitted she had found the love she was seeking. Moss proposed, and Crawley accepted before they both left the show early.
While Crawley and Moss were together for around a year, their relationship ultimately ended before they made it down the aisle. Moss announced the end of the romance in 2021, insisting the decision was mutual. Crawley claimed the opposite was true. According to Glamour, Crawley claims she learned about the split through the announcement, just like everyone else.
Why did she ditch ‘Got to Get Out’?
Clare Crawley’s decision to ditch Got to Get Out is markedly different than her motivation to withdraw from The Golden Bachelorette. Crawley left The Bachelorette hoping to start something great; she left the money of Got to Get Out behind to return to something already established. Crawley claimed she was in “unbearable pain” while inside the mansion because she missed her family so much. She ultimately left the show to return to her husband and child, noting that missing her child and the game’s intensity weighed too heavily on her. Crawley married her husband, Ryan Dawkins, in 2023. They met via social media. They welcomed their daughter in 2024.
Got to Get Out is a new game competition that pits a house full of reality TV veterans and newbies against each other for a large cash prize. The contestants can stay inside and work together to split a $1 million prize or attempt to escape the house to steal it all. Contestants include well-known reality TV stars like Spencer Pratt, Susan Noles, and Omarosa. Season 1 is available on Hulu now.
It is unclear if Hulu plans to bring the show back for a second season. The competition has received mixed reviews.
