CASEY, Ill. (WCIA) — The organizers of the Casey Popcorn Festival, scheduled for late August, have announced this year’s music entertainment lineup, which includes a former American Idol contestant.

The annual festival will take place Aug. 29 to Sept. 1 in Fairview Park. On Friday, organizers named Crush – The Bon Jovi Concert Experience, Lakeview, Tyler Farr and Colton Dixon as the daily entertainment.

Crush will perform the first night of the festival on Aug. 29. This band performs renditions of Bon Jovi’s greatest hits, and it has been doing so for almost a decade.

Lakeview is described by organizers as a “rural, blue-collar duo” with hits like “Home Team” and “See Me in A Suit. They will perform Aug. 30.

Tyler Farr was recognized by Taste of Country as “one of the best male vocalists in country music today.” His debut album “Redneck Crazy”, reached No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and No. 5 on the Billboard Top 200. He has achieved three No. 1 hits, including “Whiskey in My Water” and “A Guy Walks Into a Bar.” He will perform Aug. 31.

Closing out the festival entertainment on Sept. 1 is Colton Dixon. Dixon made it to the Top 7 of American Idol Season 11 in 2012. Since then, he’s become a “phenomenon” in the music industry as a Christian artist. His first album “A Messenger” achieved the highest first-week sales by a new solo Christian artist and reached the Top 15 on the Billboard 200, as well as No. 1 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart.

He has since garnered multiple No. 1 hits on Christian Hot AC, including “More of You” and “Through It All.” In 2017, he reached the top of the Christian Albums Chart for the third time and won two Dove Awards for “Rock/Contemporary Album” and “Recorded Music Packaging.”

General admission to the four concerts will be free, organizers said, thanks to the festival’s sponsors. Tickets to the festival itself will go on sale Monday.
