Police needed to use capsicum spray to break up a huge brawl that erupted at a park in Sydney last night.

Up to 40 people were reported to be fighting at a park on Pirrama Road in Pyrmont at around 10.30pm yesterday.

Three men, two aged 24 and one aged 21, were arrested at the scene and it’s alleged officers used capsicum spray to arrest one of the older men.

Paramedics treated one of the men and another 31-year-old at the scene.

Both were taken to hospital for treatment. 

One man, aged 24, was charged in hospital with affray.

The second 24-year-old was also charged with affray.

The charged men have been granted bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on May 14.

The third man, aged 21, was released without charge.

Police believe the group involved in the brawl had disembarked from a boat earlier in the evening before the fight.

A crime scene has been established.
