HEPHZIBAH, Ga () – There were Easter celebrations across the CSRA on Sunday.
Members of the New Testament Christian Church in Hephzibah gathered outside to fellowship with one another and celebrate Jesus’ resurrection.
There were fun games, food, and some great prizes for people of all ages.
Pastor Kue Vang said they have this celebration every Easter Sunday.
“We just finished a beautiful service, we have things lined up for the kids, for the adults, we have great food, we love to spend time together after church.” said Vang.
Lekeshia Wade has been a member of the church since 2012 and said she loves to be able to worship Easter Sunday and continue the celebrations with her church family.
“Fellowshipping with the brothers and sisters and getting to know people. Letting them know that they can have a home away from home and a family away from home.” Wade said.
The church started 46 years ago and continues to bring people from all backgrounds and walks of life together.
“I know you may look at the church and say ‘it’s small, it’s humble’ but God has done a lot here for the hearts and lives of men and women, it’s just great seeing people change by the power of God and what God’s willing to do in their lives if they allow him to.” Vang said.
The members of the church have these festivities not only on Easter Sunday but also every Friday as well as a group bible study on Fort Eisenhower.
