Doctor Who boss Russell T. Davies shared a photo of his reunion with actress Camille Coduri, best known to fans as Jackie Tyler, mum of Billie Piper’s Rose, on social media to wish the star many happy returns for her 60th birthday. However, followers of the TV producer couldn’t help but all make the same comment underneath.

Camilie’s Jackie Tyler first burst onto our screens in 2005, when Russell T Davies brought Doctor Who back for a whole new generation. As the mother of the Doctor’s companion, Rose, Jackie was far more than comic relief, though her brilliant one-liners and flirtatious jabs at the Ninth and Tenth Doctors were unforgettable.

In the photo’s caption, Russell wrote: “Camille’s birthday party! Love this woman! She is the BEST.” Looking stunning in a red dress and sparkly earrings, the blonde actress looked delighted to be snuggled up next to her long-time pal.

Many of Russell’s followers were quick to make the same comment about Camille. One person wrote: “She hasn’t aged. Make sure Mr. Lumic doesn’t crash the party with his army of metal men! That cliffhanger sealed the real deal of me becoming a fan of the series, and I never looked back!” A second fan wrote: “Don’t let lazarus see that she hasn’t aged, he’ll start freaking out.” While someone else penned: “Camille has not aged a bit! She looks gorgeous.”

Another user added: “Now that’s a reunion!!!! Fabulous! Belated HBD to Camille! X” Other users begged Russell to bring Camille’s character, Jackie, back to the show. One follower added: “Bring her back Russell to Doctor Who!” Another user wrote: “I know Rose is stuck in a parallel universe and everything but I’d love to see Jackie back in the main show. Still adore Jackie just as much as I did when you first introduced her to myself and millions of other Whovians just over twenty years ago.” And someone else wrote: “We love Queen Jackie Tyler, bring this icon back happy memories.”

British acting icon Camille gained a legion of fans with her role as Jackie Tyler, the mother of Rose Tyler, in Doctor Who between 2005 and 2010, and went on to appear in several more BBC comedies, including Him & Her and King Gary, and most recently in Channel 4 sitcom Big Boys.

However, before her turn alongside Billie Piper, David Tennant and Christopher Eccleston in Doctor Who, she had starred in a number of hit ’90s movies, including Nuns on the Run with the late Robbie Coltrane and John Goodman in King Ralph. She also starred in Nick Love’s cult 2009 British drama film, The Firm, based on football hooliganism.
