The Obamas hit the town after shutting down divorce rumors.

Barack and Michelle Obama were recently spotted on a date night in Washington, DC — their first public outing together since December 2024.

A fellow patron at Italian restaurant Osteria Mozza captured a video of the couple walking down a stairway after dining in a private room.

Diners erupted into applause as they watched the Obamas make their way through the bustling eatery.

Both Barack, 63, and Michelle, 61, showed their thanks by waving at the customers as they exited with security in tow.

The former president of the United States shook hands with several staff members and chatted with a few guests before being ushered outside.

It is unclear exactly when the dinner date occurred.

Barack previously dined at the upscale hotspot just days before President Trump’s inauguration in January, which he attended without his wife, leading many to believe there was trouble in paradise.

The pair added fuel to the fire when the “IMO” podcast host skipped several other public-facing events.

However, Michelle directly addressed the rumors during a recent appearance following months of speculation about the state of their marriage.

The “Becoming” author told actress-turned-activist Sophia Bush that she simply wanted to take a step back from the spotlight after so many years of public service.

She laughed off the notion that she and Barack were headed for a divorce, noting that people have a hard time accepting “a grown woman just making a set of decisions for herself.”

“The interesting thing is that when I say ‘no,’ for the most part, people are like, ‘I get it,’ and I’m OK,” she shared on the “Work in Progress” podcast.

“And that’s the thing that we as women struggle with — disappointing people. So much so that people, they couldn’t even fathom that I was making a choice for myself, that they had to assume that my husband and I are divorcing,” Michelle continued.

“But that’s what society does to us. We actually finally start going, ‘What am I doing? Who am I doing this for?’ And if it doesn’t fit into the sort of stereotype of what people think we should do, then it gets labeled as something negative and horrible.”

After so many years in the public eye, the former first lady took a step back for introspection in order to “make some big girl decisions” in her life.

“Now is the time for me to start asking myself these hard questions of, ‘Who do I truly want to be every day?’ And that changes,” she admitted. “So, who do I want to have a lunch with? How long do I want to stay in a place? Do I want to travel? If a girlfriend calls and says, ‘Let’s go here,’ I can say ‘Yes! I can.’ And I’m trying to do that more and more.”

Michelle shut down the chatter once and for all when she showed off her engagement and wedding rings while out in Los Angeles last week.

She and Barack met in 1989 and tied the knot three years later. The couple shares daughters Malia, 26, and Sasha, 23.
