AN Army commander has been suspended after portraits of Donald Trump and his Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth were missing from a command board.

The empty photo frames were spotted at a Wisconsin base and went viral, sparking a probe.

Sheyla Baez Ramirez, the garrison commander at Fort McCoy, was suspended just months after assuming her role.

The military base has a history dating back 110 years and Baez Ramirez was the first woman to serve in her role.

Officials for the 88th Readiness Division at the base confirmed Baez Ramirez had been suspended, but have stressed that it’s not linked to any misconduct allegations, as reported by WPR.

Pictures shared on the Rapid Response X account for the Department of Defense showed before and after shots of the wall of command.

One picture showed Trump and Hegseth’s portraits missing from the wall.

The second image was a complete version with an empty square in the bottom row.

“We fixed it,” the social media post said.

The Defense Department has confirmed a probe into what had happened is underway.

The Army has also launched an investigation, claiming senior chiefs at Fort McCoy were “unaware” that the wall had been altered.

“Once it was brought to their attention, the leadership at Fort McCoy took immediate action to correct it,” a Facebook post said.

“We take matters such as this seriously, and our primary concern is ensuring that all legal and appropriate actions are taken in accordance with our commitment to upholding the highest standards of conduct among our Soldiers and civilian personnel.”

Baez Ramirez previously worked as a military intelligence officer and has been stationed at different bases and airfields across the US, according to her Army profile.

She was formerly a platoon leader at Georgia’s Fort Stewart military base.

And, she held a command role of a regiment in Puerto Rico.

Baez Ramirez also previously served as the Chief of Operations at the Fort Liberty base in North Carolina.

She has received several awards and metals, and has served overseas in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

PENTAGON CHAOS

Hegseth has served as the Defense Secretary since January, but the Pentagon has been engulfed in chaos in recent months.

And, reports suggest that Hegseth’s future may be uncertain.

An NPR report suggested that Trump may be preparing to remove Hegseth – speculation the White House has strongly denied.

Trump said Hegseth is doing a “great job” in office.

A New York Times report claimed Hegseth shared information about military strikes in Yemen via a Signal chat that included family and friends.

Sean Parnell, the Pentagon press secretary, has strongly denied the reports.

“There was no classified information in any Signal chat, no matter how many ways they try to write the story,” he warned.

Hegseth also dismissed the reports when speaking to reporters at a White House event on Monday.

The reports emerged just weeks after Hegseth was in another messaging chain that discussed war plans.

But, the talks about military action were leaked after Jeffrey Goldberg, the editor of the Atlantic magazine, revealed he was also included in the chain.

Trump ordered air strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen on March 15.

The military reaction was in response to the terror group’s attacks on shipping in the Red Sea.
