Oprah Winfrey slammed for bringing up Tina Knowles' exes

The shade is real.

Fans slammed Oprah Winfrey for bringing up Tina Knowles’ two ex-husbands on her “Oprah’s Book Club” podcast Tuesday.

The actress from “The Color Purple” expressed her admiration for the fashion designer who shared her complete story in her recent memoir, “Matriarch,” despite being previously married to Mathew Knowles and Richard Lawson.

“We are fully engaged in your story and all the people that are in your life — obviously, your ex-husband,” she said in one clip before clarifying “ex-husbands” with a heavy emphasis on the “s” at the end.

Fans quickly took to X to call out Winfrey’s remark.

“Oprah’s shady ass,” tweeted one user.

“That was so unnecessary 😭 She better keep it cute like we don’t play about Mama Tina,” added another.

“this was unnecessary and weird this is why i don’t care for Oprah anymore. just be attention seeking at other ppl’s expense,” wrote a third person.

“That was weird [as hell],” said a fourth netizen.

Others defended Winfrey mentioning Tina’s exes because the pair, both 71, are longtime pals.

“Lol Oprah and them are friends, so chill, guys. It’s funny,” wrote one X user.

“She kinda made up for it,” declared another fan alongside another clip from the same interview, in which Winfrey said Tina was “fair” to Mathew in the book.

Page Six has reached out to reps for both Winfrey and Tina for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Tina was married to Mathew, 73, from 1980 to 2011. The former couple, who share daughters Beyoncé, 43, and Solange, 38, divorced due to the record executive’s infidelity.

The Cécred vice chairwoman then married Lawson, 78, in 2015.

However, she filed for divorce from the actor in 2023, citing irreconcilable differences.

While promoting her memoir, Tina revealed she secretly battled stage 1 breast cancer last year after missing a routine mammogram appointment during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’ve always tried to take care of myself. I just … was in disbelief,” she told Winfrey’s BFF, Gayle King, on “CBS Mornings” on Tuesday.

The House of Deréon co-creator underwent a lumpectomy to remove the tumor last August and is now cancer-free.
