If the Giants were picking one spot lower in the NFL draft, the league consensus likely would be that Shedeur Sanders should pack for New York. 

The decision to potentially skip over a highly promising player in favor of a quarterback who has faced a lot of criticism is creating some uncertainty around the No. 3 pick. The options at hand include edge rusher Abdul Carter and versatile player Travis Hunter, who excels as both a receiver and a cornerback.

The hope that Sanders could change the Giants’ fortunes the way Jayden Daniels did for Washington as a franchise quarterback could be enough to cast aside Mason Graham, Will Campbell, Ashton Jeanty or any other Best Player Available at No. 4. Except that … 

“If you are comfortable picking a player at No. 4, you should be comfortable picking him at No. 3,” one NFL executive told The Post. “What the hell is the difference?”
