Watch: Byron Donalds Delivers a Masterclass on How to Deal With a Screaming Protester

I’m not sure it’s a productive thing for Republicans to hold town halls now when the left has made it a policy to crash them to post pictures of screaming people. The whole point is to make it look like Americans are upset with President Donald Trump and the Republicans when, indeed, it’s a small contingent of folks on the left trying to affect the optics.

But you should be able to meet with constituents and answer their questions. I give Republicans like Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) props if they do it, even knowing that. He did one at Estero High School on Monday night.

A woman in the audience started screaming at him about Gaza, so you knew right away she wasn’t a Republican.

“How many more children in Palestine have to die?” she screamed. “They are not Hamas,” she yelled in addition to a lot of unintelligible things.

Donalds dealt with her with facts when she claimed the people of Gaza weren’t Hamas. He said Hamas had elections “one time” then not again, because they wanted to keep the “people under their boots.”

“So if you’re going to ask who has blood on your hands, it is Hamas and it is the people that empower them…. That’s the truth. If you want to continue to have a shouting match with me at least come with the facts. Next question,” Donald told her, drawing applause from other members of the crowd.

Nicely dispatched, it’s Hamas who put all this situation in play by invading Israel, killing over a thousand people, and kidnapping the hostages, including Americans. It’s Hamas that continues to oppress the people and keeps wrecking ceasefires over the years.

But like many on the left, the woman didn’t listen and just kept screaming.

That’s when he told her she was being disrespectful and if she thought she was being heard, she was “not,” said Donalds.

The protester was then seen being escorted away by law enforcement. As she was being led out of the auditorium, she shouted, “Free, free Palestine!”

Bottom line: Her screaming was intruding on the rights of others to be able to ask questions and get answers. You don’t get to step on everyone else’s rights.
