Alijah Arenas, 18, one of the top recruits in the high school class of 2025, is the son of three-time NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas. He is scheduled to enroll at Southern California this summer and just made an appearance in the McDonald’s All-American Game.He is an American basketball player and a a current student at Chatsworth High School in Los Angeles, California.Following his reclassification, he was ranked as a consensus five-star recruit in both the 2026 and 2025 classes. He turned down offers from Arizona, Kansas, Kentucky, and Louisville to play collegiate basketball at USC.

TMZ reported that Arenas’ Tesla Cybertuck crashed Thursday morning, adding that “the luxury vehicle was completely mangled on the side of the road of a Los Angeles neighborhood based on images we have viewed.”

 

Arenas’ mother, Laura Govan, posted to Instagram saying she needs prayers.

 

The front of the car was on fire, according to TMZ.

According to Charania, his Cybertruck collided with a tree and a fire hydrant early on Thursday morning, causing a fire. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the driver was taken to the hospital after exiting the car.

According to the ESPN report, preliminary examinations reveal that he did not sustain any broken bones.
