Teddi Mellencamp revealed an “exciting” update amid her battle with brain cancer, sharing what her doctor told her as Kyle Richards, Camille Grammer, and Erika Jayne reacted.​

Earlier this year, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum explained that doctors found multiple tumors in her brain. Though several were removed in surgery, others were found. At one point, Teddi shared that she had a 50/50 chance of surviving. She praised her dad, John Cougar Mellencamp, for helping her throughout the journey.​

In an April 23 Instagram post, Teddi announced some happy news.

“One update I couldn’t wait to share…” wrote Teddi in the caption. “All tumors stage 4 (metastasized melanoma in my brain and lungs) shrunk or disappeared.”​

“So I have 6ish more weeks of immunotherapy and doctors believe I will be healed if everything stays on course,” she continued. “Thank you to everyone who has sent their love, prayers, and positivity.”​

In a video, she added, “Really exciting news, everyone. Honestly, the crying is already done, but I just finished with all of my scans, and my tumors have significantly shrunk, which doctors believe means that this all will work and that I will be back to myself and feeling good.”​

Teddi said she has two more sessions of immunotherapy.​

“And then, hopefully, I am done, and I will be cancer-free,” she went on. “I’m going to keep a positive outlook because that’s the way my doctor just spoke to me. He’s like, ‘You did this, you got this.’ And then, of course, in a complete Cougs way, he said, ‘You got that Mellencamp blood, so you’re good.’”​

In the comments, Teddi’s friends expressed their joy.​

“BEST DAY EVER!!!!!” exclaimed Kyle. “So grateful😭.”​

“Congratulations!!” wrote Camille. “This is amazing news!”​

“Thank God,” expressed Erika with a heart emoji.​

Back in February, Teddi first revealed her diagnosis.​

“For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization … After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least [six months] … Two of the tumors will be surgically removed today — the remaining smaller tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “I am blessed to be surrounded by my children, family, friends, doctors, nurses[,] and surgeons who are doing everything possible to get me back into better health.”​
