Amazing Race Brothers Had The Experience Of A Lifetime

The Amazing Race 37 has already proven to be entertaining, but one of the most memorable scenes involved brothers Nick and Mike Fiorito. In a recent episode, filmed in Bulgaria, they competed in a haystack challenge with the goal of locating a hidden bracelet.

The challenge did not go as planned, with Mike telling Us Weekly they had to stop “and get medical attention for a few minutes because we were about to have a heat stroke.” Unfortunately, despite the brothers’ passion for the competition, they were later eliminated. Now, they are reflecting on their reality TV experience.

What Have Nick And Mike Fiorito Said About Their Amazing Race Experience?

Following their elimination from The Amazing Race, Nick and Mike Fiorito have had some time to reflect on their journey, and they recently shared their thoughts on Instagram. The brothers have amassed a following of over 80,000 followers on the social media platform, where fans can track their progress and see what they’ve been up to since their elimination.

Their post included several pictures from Episode 7, and in the caption, they shared their thoughts. “We’ll be forever grateful for the ride of a lifetime,” their joint message reads. “Thank you to everyone who cheered us on — your love and support meant more than you know.” They concluded their message by urging fans of the show to continue supporting their competitors as they “crush it out there!”

Fans have reacted to the post with messages of support. Many still hold onto the hope that they may see the brothers compete again in the future. “Hope theres an all star amazing race,” a comment reads. “You guys were amazing! It was sad to see you get eliminated as you were one of my favourite teams!” another fan shared. Other reactions include “Really wish yalls were still in,” “Sad to see the two of you go! It was fun to watch y’all run the race!,” and “The best of the best!!!”

Why Did Nick And Mike Fiorito Need Medical Attention?

Nick and Mike Fiorito previously shared how they were on the verge of heatstroke, but in their interview with Us Weekly, they also discussed how the Detour: The Haystack challenge was tough, even though it may not have appeared so on-screen. “When you look at us on TV and you see us kicking the hay, it almost looks like we’re just giving up and just like kicking hay. But that was literally all the energy we had left in our body,” Mike said. “The sun was so extremely hot, and it was right on top of us.”

Nick added that they were “exhausted” and the weather conditions and working with the “extremely itchy” hay had taken an extreme toll on their bodies. “Our energy level really went very low,” he added.

Still, the show was a dream come true for the brothers, who revealed in an interview with Parade that they had been fans since childhood. They tried really hard to secure this opportunity. “For 7 straight years, we’d pour our hearts into a new application — year after year — dreaming of this once-in-a-lifetime adventure,” Mike told the publication. “What kept us going was this unshakable belief that one day, it would finally be our turn.” Could they be back for an All-Star adventure in the future?
