ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Crews in Orange County are battling a brush fire that is causing traffic headaches for motorists on Saturday afternoon.
According to officials from Orange County Fire Rescue, estimated half-mile brush fire is in the area of S.R. 414, also known as the Apopka Expressway, and Lakeville road “at the old landfill.”
Officials said crews are actively working to contain the fire that has the westbound lanes of S.R. 414 closed near mile marker 5 in the Apopka area.
No injuries have been reported and there are no immediate threats to structures in the area, according to OCFR.

Officials asked motorists to use caution in the area and to “expect road closures.”
